About Tillamook

The City of Tillamook is located in the heart of Tillamook County on the spectacular Oregon Coast. The city is the largest in the county. It is the county seat and the county's main business center.

Downtown Tillamook is home to the County Courthouse and Administrative Center, as well as the Pioneer Museum, the county’s Main Post Office, Main Library, Tillamook County General Hospital and Tillamook Bay Community College. Just east of the downtown area on 3rd Street is Tillamook County Fairgrounds.
Just south of the city is the Port of Tillamook Bay, which is home to the Tillamook Naval Air Station Air Museum, an airport, an industrial park and a railroad. Also located on port property are the Tillamook School District offices, the Tillamook County Justice Facility, including the Tillamook County Sheriff’s Office, the county jail and the local headquarters of the Oregon State Police.
Motels, restaurants, service shops and shopping centers line U.S. 101 north of the city. This is also the home of Tillamook County Creamery Association’s
cheese factory that draws up to a million visitors a year from around the world.
The
Latimer Quilt Center is just east of U.S. 101, north of the city.
Other nearby points of interest include the Cape Meares Lighthouse on the coast to the west of Tillamook, and Munson Creek Falls to the south.
