The City has a facade improvement fund that offers low-cost loans to merchants who wish to upgrade building facades and sidewalks.
As part of its business license program, the City collects a $25 annual surcharge that is dedicated to downtown business development activities.
The City has launched an Urban Renewal program to fund infrastructure improvements throughout Tillamook's primary business corridors.
Parking in the downtown core area is generally limited to shoppers and other short-term users.

In 2006, Safeway built and opened a new, modern supermarket downtown.
Fred Meyer has recently undergone a major expansion of its store on North Main Avenue.
A local business has remodeled the old County Library building at 3rd and Ivy into a new retail facility.
A major renovation is under way on the historic former International Order of Oddfellows building at 2nd and Main.
