Positions on the November 3, 2026, General Election Ballot:

Office Term Residency requirement
Mayor 4-year term Resident within Tillamook city limits; elected at large.
City Council Ward 2 4-year term Resident of Ward 2.
City Council Ward 4 4-year term Resident of Ward 4.
City Council Ward 5 2-year unexpired term Resident of Ward 5.
City Council Ward 6 4-year term Resident of Ward 6.

Requirements

At the time of candidate filing for City office:
  • An elective city officer shall be a qualified elector under the State of Oregon constitution and shall have resided in the city during the 12 months immediately before being elected or appointed to the office. "City" means area inside the city limits at the time of the election or appointment.
  • A candidate seeking office for a Ward position must be a resident of the ward for which they file. (See Ward map).
  • No person may be a candidate at a single election for more than one elective city office.
  • An elective officer shall not be an employee of the city. However, an elective officer may serve in a volunteer capacity with the city subject to council approval.

Important Dates

  • June 3, 2026 - First day for candidates to file
  • July 30, 2026 - Recommended last day to file with City Elections Officer
  • August 18, 2026 - Elected Incumbent candidate final filing deadline
  • August 25, 2026 - New and Appointed Incumbent candidate final filing deadline
  • November 3, 2026 - Election Day
  • *November 30, 2026 - City Councilor Onboarding
