The Streets & Parks Division is responsible for maintaining, repairing, and improving the city's streets, sidewalks, parks, and public spaces. Their duties include street cleaning, pothole repairs, snow removal, and the upkeep of recreational areas, trails, and public facilities to enhance the community’s quality of life. With a focus on safety and accessibility, the division ensures the longevity of the city's roadways and public spaces for all to enjoy. 

The Streets & Parks Division maintains approximately 22 miles of street rights-of-way. The division maintains, manages, and oversees:

  • City park events
  • Street surfaces and resurfacing
  • Traffic signs and pavement markings
  • Curbs and gutter
  • Sidewalks
  • Removal of vision hazards
  • Street sweeping
  • Park maintenance 
  • Vegetation control
  • Ditch, culvert, and bioswale maintenance
  • Snow and ice control
